"If Chess is a science, it's a most inexact one. If Chess is an art, it is too exacting to be seen as one. If Chess is a sport, it's too esoteric. If Chess is a game, it's too demanding to be just a game. If Chess is a mistress, she's a demanding one. If Chess is a passion, it's a rewarding one. If Chess is life, it's a sad one" (Unknown)

joe, finalizing the IAR and review process will help with the transparency. We do need to finalize that. And if we can generate a word game with an IAR 3 or less, we definitely need to consider what is or is not it, and likely consider word games as ok possibly.
Anyhow, you also have a game like Rithamathia, I think that is how it is spelled. It was replaced with chess in Europe. I would consider that to possibly be an IAGO game, eventhough it looks like it is an exception to the IAR rule of three.
We do need transparency and an approval process here eventually. In the mean time, the basis of games in IAGO are what is going with the IAGO World Tour. This hasn't cause there to be much of a problem. There is the case of Gobblets and Plateau that have arisen, however.
