Consider this video for an upcoming wargame for the PC and videogame systems called R.U.S.E:

Look at this and think on it. What do you see here? I believe we have part of the puzzle for showing abstract strategy games. Please post any comments you may have. I am particularly focused on the two players, less than the graphics of the action.
We need actor-players. We have to put on a show as well as play a game.
Long ago, didn't Go players memorize and then (much more quickly) replay their games live in front of the emperor as entertainment?
Reality TV editing can work wonders here, plus find players who are emotionally expressive to play. Throw in a crowd also that cares. I believe the environment shown there is a way to do it. It can be done, just we need to bring all these pieces here.
Anyhow, on a similar note, anyone want to help get together and shoot a YouTube video? We could do something showing how to play Simultaneous Captain's Mistress. It is NOT a pure abstract strategy game (call it an abstract game with strategy if you like), but I think it could do something to get people interested.
